Zero Turn Head Lights with Oxy Fuel Welding
Should have a block heater on the old tractor.
Great idea! Thanks! Saved me from calling a welder to burn them off.
Thank you for the unbiased review.
Thanks! Just the idea I was looking for.
I love my trailblazer. But I also know the pain.
Im with you on reducing grinding. A few minutes gouging can save save so so much grinding. I have a few gouging tips for my acetylene torch, but I have never tried them. I used to arc gouge everything until I got my Hypertherm 45xp. I use that for just about everything now. They also make a long reach pencil style gouging cartridge that is probably only 1/2” dia. and about 5” long. Expensive, but priceless when you need it and don’t want to get out the air arc. That tip is recommended from 45-65 amps.
The gouging tip on the torch is faster than the 45xp, but the torch can create more collateral damage. I don't use the air acr either (unless I have to) since I got the hypertherm
That brings back memories, I was doing one that was 10x worse than that one out on the sun on a hundred degree day. Inside that hot metal box all day cooked me down a few pounds. I started the day at about 175 and must've been 165 by the end of the day, I remember cleaning up and looking in the mirror and noticing how much thinner my face looked.
looks like it went well, supports are in good shape. I've got a 6' x 12 dump trailer to get done. Someone used it to haul something that was in the salt water and it rusted some of the supports also. Subscribed
If anyone can answer this. The one I have will not reset the oil counter. I did exactly as demonstrated in video and what is written in manual. Yet absolutely not any change of outcome that is displayed. It's so infuriating I'm about had it with this. I assume it's mentally challenged. Or some form of motherboard problems. It's forever gonna be in the negative numbers at this point. Because I can't know what's wrong with it.
Nice set up. I'm definitely going to make a similar one
Thank you for this video, i went out and bought some lincoln excaliber rods cuz i heard good things about them on yt and tried using them yesterday and was having a super hard time, i conpared it to the regular lincoln rods they have at home lowes and for some reason those where running way better but this whole time ive been on electrode negative because im a noob and seen some videos of people saying run negative, so i thought i might hqve wasted my money but now kinda stoked to see if reversing it will change the outcome and also maybe make my welds look even better on the regular lincolns
Glad it helped!
When I was turning wrenches for a living, the route Snap-On man had a large wheeled Snap-On charger YA167B on the truck he ordered in for a mechanic that was let go from a dealership. I was offered a cash price, which I jumped at. My Snappy has 420 amps as a boost start, and three levels of charge rate, slow, medium and high. Not much to go wrong inside, though mechanical indicator gauges are getting difficult to find even at DigiKey. The only want for another charger is the ability to charge 24 volt batteries. (aircraft) 35 years later, I still have the charger. Large copper winding inside, Polarity indicator on the Negative clamp, and has never given a moments worry. I've recently looked for a old school charger to leave in the storage building, but all I find are the Chinesium throw away models. I'll have to give the Associated models a look.
This one does 24v. Not quite as many amps on 24.
Old school chargers last forever
@@LostSkills Yep, sort of like the old AC buzz box welders. Thanks for the tip on the 24v charger.
Totally agree.
Absolutely! Not a fan of the new computerized chargers. All they need is a voltage selection and a amperage selection switch. My favorite charger I bought in the 80s from a school surplus auction and it was old then. Works great never fails. Another way to get a good one is yard sales and estate sales. Sometimes you can find a nice old school one in good shape.
that is a much older frick sawmill U don't see W 2 levers no more and most pins are set so when U pull the racket U pull a inch 😊😊 each time 3/4 of a inch is odd U still have allow 4 /1/4 for the racket what U pull and 1/4 of a inch 4 the saw blade /that's the old scale on the sawmill I like the frick sawmills W the lumber gauge wheel easy 2 read 😊😊 2 27 2O24
At minimum need to drop suspension ,straighten suspension plates replace bottom flange and reinforce Webb area reinstall suspension with a plastic or stainless barrier
A stainless barrier would be a great idea. Customer didn't want to do it.
@LostSkills the problem will continue then but it's his problem
@@tomking5822 I didn't argue too much with him because the trailer was 30 years old.
I agree with you. It's so disappointed
Just use the Pro Pulse 🤣
Well...yes. The pro pulse is way better. This is for people with spool guns
Thought you welded it crooked at first, until I realized what it was....haha!
You ain't kidding. It never fails to amaze me how easy it is to bend stuff welding on it. Just did a job welding some reinforcing on a 1" thick dump truck belly blade and sure enough it bowed it a bit. Fortunately it won't make any difference in that application. What brand is your mag drill in this video?
It's a Kimball Midwest which is a rebranded Houghen. All my mag drills are Houghen underneath
Well, i hope this does not come across as me being a smart ass, this is not my intention. 1:39 i would say reversed polarity not reverse polarity Per text book definition DCEP is reverse polarity And DCEN is straight polarity. I mean of course i know what you meant…. The “regular/standard” polarity for 7018 is DCEP….. and you are reversing it …. Anyway.
I always appreciate your insight
What is this?
Stick welding up hill with 7018 welding rod
Nice work 👏
All things considered, good job.
Thanks 🙏
That would have been so easy with a mig welder
Yes... unless don't have a Mig welder
Looking in the Timken failure analysis guide it looks like excessive preload. The too loose examples show damage to the rollers and cage. Take a look. Stemco has some good damage photos too.
I will take a look
Also kind of looks like high spots in housing. My wheel hub might be out of round too.
Too loose. I would think if it's too tight, we would see more indicators of excessive friction and heat
I think your right. The bearing was spinning on the axle tube as well. Always had lots of oil. Makes sense to me that it was loose.
Glad I found you on RUclips. I got rid of IG, which was the last SM I had, and one of the things I missed most was seeing your field engineering skills at work!
@@BradFess-jo8to I have lots more stuff for you tube over the next few weeks.
11:00 if you want to weld a hole that was cause by abrasion you are better prepared that your weld is as large or larger than a quarter coin in diameter, the material around the hole is paper thin as well …. I welded on honey wagons before with the juice still leaking out! The rod that works 10 times better than 6010 is Rockmount Tartan AAA …. Talk about a fast freeze rod …. Burning through contamination while the liquid is still oozing out …. That rod is king !
I need to try some of those rods.
Going to check those rods out thanks
Well, if you would have had an HTP pulse stick machine you wouldn’t have had that problem.
Yes, especially if you had a slider hooked up to control your amperage while welding.
@@LostSkills YES!
There is a half dozen ways to achieve welds on thin metal that dont involves that welder If the welder has tig option use it put a 3/32 collet in the torch put stick rod in the collet no gas and stick weld with tig torch use foot pedal for heat control If u can get it clean just tig it Use a suit case mig on a stick welder or spool gun all major generator style welder have options for this Weld it with oxy acetylene with mig wire filler or braze or silicon bronze
@@jeremyhanna3852 Those are all better options than 6010. This video was how to do it if all you had was 6010, or if it was windy/rainy/dirty. MIG would definitely be the more desirable way.
@@LostSkills right using the footpedal on a stick welder is a good trick
I mean you admit letting it roll around in the back of your truck lol. Bottle jacks are meant to be stored upright.
There is lots of broken stuff around. I am pretty sure there will be lots more videos :)
I love how you do all that amd then say ...on to the next one
ONLY use OEM parts and supplies . The housing you removed clearly said "made in china"
Yes. It turns out the Toyota brand filter with the Toyota brand Oring fixes the problem.
What year tractor is this? I didn't know Yanmar made yellow tractors............
I think is a 2010. They weren't yellow for very long
I had to take my locking end off, it wouldn’t lock onto the zerks on my German machine. Pissed me off, darn Germans are still getting revenge on us for WW2 lol!
How did you connect the noco leads to the batteries, did you connect just to one battery or both of them? Thanks
He used a chainsaw to make his chainsaw holder😂. I'm an Echo fan. They always start easy
Mine is a 2013 model and had around 2500 hours when it started, I ordered an O2 sensor right away but it didn't help. I've replaced fuel filters, fuel pump and a battery (old battery was too far gone) and its still not idling right, it would run perfectly fine at the beginning of the day for anywhere from 30 minutes to an hour and then starts acting up. Spark plugs were replaced in April and only had maybe 250 hours put on since then. starting to lose hope of being able to fix it myself, the closest welder tech shop is 2.5 hours away
Ever get it figured out?
@@hinds90 yes, ended up taking it in, they said one of the fuel purge hoses was cut and capped (by previous owner for whatever reason) they replaced it and it runs perfect again
@@maxstozhkov6646 I'm servicing mine myself with the help of a few from a FB group. Found bad fuel pump and replaced and got it running but once it warms up starts running bad and some times wants to run away. Started testing the o2 sensor and it's shorted so got one of those on the way.
@@hinds90 mine acted weird too and had it replaced as well, and it wasn’t a problem in my case. I probably spent about a thousand bucks on parts before giving up and taking it in. Hopefully O2 sensor will solve your issue
love the setup this is a really nice storage option and inspirational, I think i have my weekend project lined up :) Also on your closing statement, 100% buy a nice saw or you just wind up buying several cheap ones then wind up buying a nice saw and costing way more in the long run, about a year back now had a buddy looking into buying a saw, He was borrowing one of my backup saws and but wanted a husqi like mine, however he did not want to drop the coin on it, so he bought a Ryobi, it lasted 2 outings clearing trails and blew the piston sawing through a large log, so he replaced it with an echo, that one ran great ... for 1 day and then it would no longer start, and we were simply dumbfounded on what the issue was it looked good but none of the tricks would start the dang thang. so he got warranty claims on both of those saws and refunds and bit the bullet and got a Husqi 465 Rancher and its been playing the song of my people in the backwoods for about a year now, with no issues
Can I just take the leaf springs out of a f 250/350/450 and put them in my f150
Amazing. Now, is there a difference between the “ Genius Noco Boost GB150” vs the “ Noco Boost Pro GB150”?
I don't know. This is the only one I have ever had
Where are you located and how much would this cost
Great test. I'm sold and will be buying one for those tight spaces my XT Stubby can't get into.
I have been very impressed with it for the money. It's been lasting fine so far. Probably because a tool like that you really don't use that often....but when you need it you need it
I could have used this when I replaced the front stabilizer bar bushings.@@LostSkills
Need a little help here. Btw this video has been this far the closest to helping me solve some of my rear axle issues…thank you! My question is what does the black rubber hose from 1:55 at the end of the steel line lead to? Need help!!!! Edit: is this the center hydraulic hose line?
It goes from the frame down to the rear axle
Ain’t got no gas in it 😂😂😂
Now I have a question, How do you change polarity on it, I know the bobcat 250/260 & 302 Tb have a handle/ switch you turn and it’s not present on this machine, so my question is, How do you do it?
I have quick connections right at the welder. I just switch the leads
А где кожухи на пилах, для защиты?
That's a great looking 350, did it go through a full restoration, mechanically and cosmetically, great tractor.
It got a complete mechanical and cosmetic restoration. Everything works as it should. I switched it to 12v and put a modern alternator on it. Otherwise it's stock.
@@LostSkills you did a great job, looks great

Top tip, replace the cells in the chinese copies with high drain cells, Molicel P28A or P28B, they are like 4-7 bucks a cell and will get you more power than the milwaukee batteries. Your "6ah" chinese pack, is actually a 2.6-4AH, and 4 is a stretch, depending on the cells used.
